I am a parenthood photographer on Martha’s Vineyard and my passion is for providing you with images of love and connection that you will treasure - whether your children are not even born yet (and you’re looking for maternity or a birth story), or they are newborn, or maybe they’ve all grown up and have found love and families of their own. As an MV-native, born and raised, I know all the scenic spots (and the secret gems) for your session.
My philosophy as a photographer is that photos are the most powerful gift we can give each other – a frozen instant to crack open and reveal secret rooms of memory, of love, of connection.

As a newborn photographer on Martha’s Vineyard, I bring my deep love for babies, my experience and training as a doula (both labor and post-partum), and my dedicated studio space together to create portraits of your new baby that you will treasure. Newborn photos are important because your baby never gets any smaller. Love and connection are the driving forces and I am there to capture the moments you have planned and the magic of the moments you couldn’t have foreseen. We reached out to Maria to participate in her Baby Friendly Project a few months before our daughter was due. She immediately responded and was super informative of the details of the project as well as her other session packages. She really encouraged thinking over what our vision was, and made it priority to identify those considerations.
We originally met her at the Expectant Parent Retreat, we absolutely loved her work and her obvious passion for newborn photography! Our expectations were exceeded when we saw how she captured the intimacy of the newly forming bond between myself and my newborn. Although Maria didn’t get to spend long with us at the hospital, she still managed to find beautiful opportunities in the smallest of moments.
We were delighted to have her magic touch again when she came to our home for a session a couple weeks later. She certainly has a way with handling your bundle of joy, and more importantly she is assuringly confident in what she does which made new parents, like us, feel comfortable.
